Outdoor Adventure Club (OAC) 2023 Tentative Schedule

Below is the initial list of 2023 OAC events. This list will be expanded and specific dates added as the year progresses. The OAC Board would like people thinking about joining or re-joining the club, to have an idea of planned events.

January:Elijah Clark hike; Long hike - Keg Creek; Nature Lecture (Jan or Feb); SLV Walk Challenge kick off; Archery outing (Jan or Feb)
February: Scavenger Hunt (Abbeville); Burt-Stark Mansion Tour; Monticello hike
March:Sadler Creek hike/kayak; Mistletoe State Park hike/owl prowl; Georgia Botanical Gardens (tulips)
April:North Augusta bike; 96 Historic tour/hike; Augusta Canal kayak (or July); Fishing Creek kayak
May:Congaree Fireflies hike; Tallulah Falls Gorge hike; Ice Cream social; Local kayak - new location from prior years
June:Broad River kayak; Kayak training; Augusta Canal bike; Paddleboard event; Calhoun Falls Paddlefest
July:Moonlight kayak; Nature lecture; Local mountain bike
August:Moonlight kayak; Augusta Museum hike and River Walk; Local hike
September:Swamp Rabbit bike; Russel Lake kayak and lunch; Aiken hike and craft fair; Watson Mill Bridge State Park
October: Kayak Training; Founders Day hike; OAC Picnic; Local hike; Local kayak - new location
November:Kings Mountain/Cowpens historic hike; Turkey Trot; Local kayak - new location
December:Santa Stroll; McCormick parade participation; Evans on Ice

Please note that the club is always looking for additional ideas for events and leaders to help with the event. Some other ideas being considered are: a "zoo" visit/hike; Russel Dam kayak and overlook; Musgrove Mill Historic Site; etc.
